Blog Changes

I can’t keep up with all the blogs. I wish I had time to blog like I did before, back in college when I worked at the good COB. I really think I got paid to xanga, talk on aim and msn. Ahhh the good ol’ days. I miss my “CuteEgg” blog. It had a lot of info—1998-2005. Wow. I am still bitter that stupid girl and her dad made such a big deal that I had to get rid of it. Oh well…

Speaking of this new blog (well, new since 2005) I went ahead and went public again for the reason not that many people are on xanga anymore. Most have moved over to blogspot. I think I have some blogspot accounts, but there is no way in hell I can keep up with so many blogs. I barely keep up with this and facebook now. I am not even on B2b much anymore, but that is mainly because it is not as fun. It’s more of a bitch2bitch forum as someone put it. My days of being a mean girl are gone, I don’t find it ‘cool’ to be a bitch now. Oh yeah, back to the mom blogs. Oh how do I wish I could be one of those moms who had time to blog about what my child did on a day-to-day basis, what he ate, take pictures andvideos of it and post. But I am not. I am not crafty and for some reason, never have enough time to do anything. I also really love reading the cooking/baking blogs. I I don’t have time for that either.Maybe one day.

I laugh now..I remember I wanted to make seperate blogs: wedding, cooking, baby, etc. Hah! Who in the hell was I fooling.

Plus, I am cheap and already paid for a life-time subscription to xanga. Sue me.

Insomnia

I am not sure why, but I haven’t been able to sleep. I used to be in bed by 10. Now it’s never before 3am. I just lay there awake. Ugh. Good thing my little man sleeps in til 11…

Another statistic

So now for the first time I am on unemployment. I feel so ghetto. Seriously. Ugh. The check hasn’t come yet. I am still looking for jobs. The financial situation in my district, hell, in CA in general, is bad. This leaves me with the hard decision…

Do I stay or do I go?

I have been struggling with this for quite some time now. Perhaps this is my reason for not sleeping. Given the fact I was laid off, and my district will only rehire me if we get a grant, and then I will be temporary every year we have the grant (3) and laid off in between (so much for my tenure, huh?) I am hesitant to stay in Cali. It feels like I will never be stable, especially as a teacher here. I think the budget cuts deeper than just my school district. There is no way we can afford our house here on just one income. If we went to Ohio we could get a lot cheaper (and bigger) house. So much to think about. I am not done with my list…but I need some serious help.

My school (LFMS/LFES) it is nice, new, and clean. I love the students & staff. The start times (7:45 for es; 8:45 for ms) Oh and I love how I get to work 6/5. And free health insurance for the 3 of us.	Not a lot of friends here.	Friends are in Ohio (not as many as before but still some there)	Also a lot of people I’d rather not see are in Ohio…
Lots of health food stores to buy Ethan’s foods (allergies)	We can never afford a 2^nd baby in CA.	If we got a house there we would have a playroom, a yard, and room for possibly a 2^nd baby.	I still don’t have a job there. Or insurance. When I left OH there were no teaching jobs in the state and I was one of 3 teachers who were qualified and licensed to teach Chinese. Now there are over 99! And who is to say the teaching positions/job market isn’t any worse than here?
Ethan loves his babysitter—who speaks Chinese & Taiwanese to him. And his Gymboree teachers & friends.		I could take the first year off to spend at home w/ Ethan and go back to school for a special ed license.	There is snow. Ice. Sleet. And it is COLD.
Ethan is already set up with his OT,PT, Speech, Regional center and other specialist here			We’d have to start all over in terms of the whole 0-3, early start, and regional, OT, PT, and Speech in Ohio.
I am used to it here. Everything is familiar. The sunny weather makes me happy J			I have not yet found healthy food for Ethan (i.e., allergen free) in OH. This is going to be super expensive to buy online and ship it.
			Schools start at an ungodly time in OH.
